All About Me
My name is Kree Neville. I am currently in my senior year of undergrad at Kennesaw State University and plan on receiving my degree in Integrated Health Sciences in May 2026. My goal as of right now is to further my education in nursing school with the intention of becoming a registered nurse in pediatrics. Working in the medical field has always been my goal for a career. In 2020 I found out about becoming a medical assistant through the National Health Association website and I thought that would be a great way for me to gain some clinical skills and knowledge needed to become a registered nurse. Since achieving my medical assisting certificate I’ve worked in OBGYN, rheumatology, pain management and I am currently in Pediatrics right now, which I what has influenced me to want to continue my career in pediatrics. I’m a motivated professional passionate about building a meaningful career through curiosity, problem-solving, and consistent improvement. I bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to my work and thrive in environments that challenge me to learn, adapt, and make a real impact. I’m especially interested in roles that value initiative, collaboration, and long-term growth.

Rationale-
Fall semester or 2025 I took the class turned Ethical and legal approach decision making. The final assignment for this class was to write an essay on the core values that were discussed in class and how we would not contribute them once we are going into our careers.
I actually really enjoyed writing this essay because of how it taught me to think of the many ways to align the way I care for patients with the core value discussed throughout the semester. The class was meant to prepare students that plan to go into any patient centered career for how to properly provide the care that their patients would need. It is geared to make students personable while keeping a professional manor and making sure to never get too invested into a patient's story.
I felt this class really highlighted how deeply I can care for my patients. Although that can be a great skill to have in the medical community field, I learned from this class that it can also be extremely dangerous. Caring too much about a patient's story can cause it to be harder to detach from them once you leave your job and return to your personal life. Finding this out in this class made me aware so that I can try to prevent myself from getting my feelings too invested in a patient's story but still applying the empathy and care the patient needs.

These are so important in the patient world because patients come in all colors, cultures, social groups, and more. It’s important that when caring for others we put aside our own beliefs and respect the ones of the people we’re taking care of.
